Surface Finishes
Foils and veneers - The stability and smooth surface of Kronospan MDF makes it a perfect substrate for surfacing with decorative paper foils and wood veneers. It's excellent machining properties also make it eminently suitable for profile wrappings.
Melamine - Melamine impregnated papers may be laminated to MDF in the same manner as chipboard.
Painting and staining - MDF may be finished with a wide range of coatings. It is recommended that individual paint manufacturers' instructions are followed. The application of an appropriate sealant will reduce the absorption of paint or lacquer into the machined edge.
