Kronospan the wood panel company from Chirk has teamed up with Wrexham's Paralympics hopeful Natalie Povey.
The Company sponsored 21 year old Natalie to take part in the prestigious Hickstead Para Dressage Championships which took place at the end of June. Natalie and her horse Westpoint First Lady also known as Fizz came an impressive third in both her competition events.
Natalie who only began riding six years ago said, "I enjoyed this competition a great deal and came out smiling, mainly with relief that Fizz had given me some control on the first day as she was feeling rather excited to be at a big competition, as she can have quite a mind of her own! It was brilliant that Kronospan sponsored me because with each event i attend i get closer to my goals."
Natalie is a member of the 2010 World Class Development Programme for Para Equestrian Dressage. Helping her to compete at this world class level is her coach Grace Mew. Natalie is set to compete in future national and international Paralympics games as well as aiming for the Paralympics in London 2012.
Mike McKenna Kronospan works director said, "Natalie wrote to us with an impressive CV showing real dedication to her sport. She has worked very hard to get to this top level and Kronospan is proud to support such great local talent. We wish her all the best in her future competitions."
