In March 2005 Kronospan successfully obtained certification of our Environmental Management System in compliance with the ISO 14001 standard. In July 2006 the company achieved certification of our Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems in compliance with the OHSAS 18001 Standard for the Formalin, Resin and Sawmill processes. The safety management system is now being extended across the rest of the site.
At Kronospan our Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Policy is based on the belief that the well-being of employees and other people affected by our work are of the same level of importance as the quality of our products and customer satisfaction. Therefore, Kronospan integrates environmental and OH&S criteria into all relevant business decisions. It ensures a safe environment in which to work and reduction of the impact on the environment or the local community.
To ensure that the policy aims are achieved, Kronospan has implemented management systems that comply with ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:1996.

It is the duty of the Kronospan management to promote safety and environmental awareness at all levels within the Organisation.
Senior management at Kronospan have set business, environmental and health and safety objectives that aim to deliver this policy and to ensure continuous improvement. The Senior Management Team review performance and business objectives at least once a year and company policy is then amended to reflect any changes
