Kronospan came to Chirk in 1970 and is now one of the Top 10 manufacturing businesses in Wales.

We are one of North Wales’s largest employers with nearly 700 employees – 90% of whom live within 10 miles of the site. This means that net pay of over £1,000,000 per month goes to the people living in our local community.

In addition to that direct contribution, the Company consciously employs local businesses to support its operations.

Kronospan’s management team are also all based locally and have a successful track record of experience. The workforce is highly committed and the company is dedicated to developing talent.

Kronospan is actively involved with the local community in Chirk. It has contributed to hundreds of charitable projects in Chirk and the surrounding areas, including Hospitals, Churches and Schools, which is all part of its policy of supporting worthy local causes.

Kronospan takes its local environmental responsibilities very seriously and has installed state of the art process filters, lagoons to protect rivers and has won awards for its innovative technology.
